Global Access Group takes to the skies at the Eiffel Tower

For the 4th time, the Société d'Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel (SETE) has renewed its trust in the Global Access Group by entrusting it with the construction of the highest service elevator ever built on the Iron Lady: thanks to the combined expertise of XL Industries , SKY access and Alti-Services , a new elevator nearly 100m high has, since October 2021, allowed the men behind the scenes (in charge of upkeep and maintenance) of the Eiffel Tower to access safely and easily areas previously accessible by endless stairs.

The cabin, an XML M22 elevator, was designed and manufactured by the XL Industries teams: pure “Made in France” straight from the Puceul factory (Loire Atlantique).
Its installation – carried out exclusively at night so as not to disrupt the tourist operation of the Eiffel Tower – is the result of the synergy between the teams of installers from SKY Accès and XL Industries, supported by the rope access technicians from Alti-Services, who worked at a height of 100 meters, and assisted by a 300-tonne crane truck.
